HFF Sustainable Wrecks Network (HFF-SWaN) is an international community of practice linking researchers and heritage professionals in the UK, Cyprus, Lebanon, and Egypt.
Bringing together three major shipwreck projects, the network promotes shared methods, open-access digital resources, and collaborative research on modern wrecks in the Eastern Mediterranean.
HFF-SWaN highlights wrecks as cultural assets that support sustainable dive tourism, biodiversity, and coastal livelihoods, while addressing urgent threats from damage and neglect.
The network connects communities, divers, and policymakers to protect and revalue underwater cultural heritage for the future.
